2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
I keep telling myself, “I can’t wait for a huge miracle in my life so I can give a huge testimony. Let people see how good my God is.”
I was listening to Pastor Carl Lentz recently, and he referenced the verse above. If you read the verses before this, you see that Paul was being tormented, he was in despair, praying, waiting. pleading with God to deliver Him.
Rather than deliverance, God gave Him a word:
“My grace is sufficient for you. My power is made perfect in weakness”
Listening to that verse, the Holy Spirit started speaking to me, “You say you can’t wait for people to see how good your God is, so what are you waiting for?
Isn’t it in this time of your life where you are weak and there seem to be no miracles that God’s power is made perfect?
Yes, give your testimony when the blessing comes, but how about now? Is the whole point of a testimony not to testify how good God is? So is He not good now?”
My answer: He is oh!!! He isss!
“So why are you not giving your huge testimony now for people to see how good God is???”
So me, I boast all the more gladly in my weakness!! Through this time when I don’t have the answers, when I feel incapable. This is the time to shout and say “Come and see this God who changed my whole life for the better!!
Come and see this God who keeps me standing when life puts me down. Who keeps me steady on shaky grounds. Who keeps me going!! Who puts a smile on my face! When the world disqualifies me, He keeps me in the game. Come and see this God!
So I boast GLADLY in my weakness, so that His power will be perfected in me! When I am weak, He is strong! I am poor, but He is rich!! Let all know that this my God,
He is too good!
On the sunny days, on the rainy days
In the barren, in the fruitful.
HE IS GOOD!!!!! This is MY TESTIMONY, no matter the season of my life!!!!!

Hmm, this is it. My big miracle is in making my boast in the Lord even when I am weak. Eye opener. 👌
