Hope you all are doing well. For my college / uni students, how are those final exam preparations going? Remember: do your very best and leave the rest to God.
I would like to go straight into what I believe God wants to share with you all today.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
In each of the circumstances in this verse, notice God says “when,” not”if.”
As much as a declaration of safety and protection it is for us as christians, it is also a clear warning:
You will pass through the waters. You will pass through the rivers. You will walk through the fire.
“Are you alive?” “Are you a child of God?” “Are you living for Christ?”
If your answers to all three of these questions are yes, then look no further to answer the question, “Am i going to pass through the fire?”
The answer is a resounding yes.
But then God’s response is also very clear:
“I will be with you. The waters will not overwhelm you. You will not be burned. The fire will not consume you.”
As christians, this is the hope we have.
We also have to stay ready for when these trials come, watch this:
13. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything to stand, 14.Stand firm then . . .”
Notice the word, “when” again? The day of evil will come. It might be in the next two seconds for some, for others in the next 5 years, but it will come.
And as christians, we are to be ready for whenever it comes. (I will encourage us to read the rest of the chapter to see in full detail, how we can get ready now for the day of evil / temptations / trials in our lives. Eph 6:13-18).
I want to leave us all with these words from God, “I will be with you.”
No matter how deep in trouble it seems you are, or how helpless your situation feels, or how alone you think you are, or how hard it is to see the good in your life circumstances, or how much of a failure you feel like,
God says, “I will be with you.” and His promises to us are yea and Amen.
God bless you all.
Thank you so much for reading. I pray you were truly inspired today.
